Slot Club

Joining a Slots Club. A Good or a Bad Idea?

It's no secret that slots are by far the biggest thing in gambling since poker took over the wild west. Today slot machines account for more than 50 percent of the revenue at land based casinos, and it's safe to say that the same is true for online casinos. But the popularity of slots is not just a good thing for the casinos, it's also a good thing for slots players. There was a time when slot machines were hard to find in a casino, when they were tucked away in the very back. But that's not the case today. These days slots are the very first thing that you see when you walk into a casino, and usually there are more servers circling around the slots players than anywhere else in the casino.

With all this slots action floating around the world, it begs the question of whether or not it's a good idea to sign up for a slots club. For those of you not familiar, slots clubs are a kind of loyalty package offered by casinos both live and online, that offer people certain bonuses and other benefits for playing at the casino. As a member of a slots club, a player might be able to get discounts on drinks, or food at a casino, get a certain number of free credits, or eligibility for a range of various prizes and other comps. The answer to this question might seem obvious on the surface until you face the fact that there are two main types of slots clubs; the kind that you pay for and the kind that you don't.

The main thing to consider when making the decision of whether or not you will join a slots program, is how much the program costs. If the program is free than you have nothing to lose, you should by all means, sign up and take advantage of the free benefits of membership, but if the slots club costs money, you should think twice about membership, particularly if it's pricy. Remember that the value of membership in most of the slots clubs actually goes down the less you play. So if you are someone who only plays slots for an hour a week perfecting their slots strategy and the slots club costs $5 a month, than even at this low price it may not be worth membership. This is mainly because the player will most likely only spend a little over $5 in an hour of play anyway. But, if you are a player who plays an hour a day, then spending the five dollars a month for membership might actually be a good thing to do.

$5 is a very cheap slots club membership fee and you're very unlikely to find one cost this low. Most slots clubs will cost between $50 and $100 a month, which makes the question much more difficult. The best thing to remember when deciding whether or not you want to become a slots club member is how much you play. For people involved with tournaments or with big progressive group play who spend a lot at a casino it's reasonable to assume that you will benefit more from the bonuses that being a slots club member provides, but otherwise you may find yourself simply spending money and giving the casino more money than they deserve.

Slots Clubs Online

Online slots clubs operate very much the same way as those in the live arena. Again, the value of the club mainly depends on how much you play, as many of the rewards are based on how much you spend. Sometime players are compelled to spend more on the casino just to make the cost of the slots club worth it. This is not advisable at all. The idea behind a slots club account is that players who naturally spend a lot of money at the casino can play a little more for a little less cost. But if you aren't playing a higher amount at the casino already, you are better off just spending the money that you would spend on the slots club on more playtime at the casino.
